Liveworksheets

Liveworksheets is a website that enables you to transform your traditional printable worksheets (doc, pdf, jpg...) into self-correcting interactive exercises, which we call "interactive worksheets". These are meant to work on the Use of English, this is grammar and vocabulary.

Students can complete these worksheets online and send their answers to the teacher. The fact that these are interactive, makes them more attractive to students and motivates them into working on their grammar and vocabulary. It is also positive for teachers as it saves correction time. Plus, it is also good for the environment (saves paper as there is no need to print them out).

In addition, the interactive worksheets use new technologies applied to education. There are different kinds of live worksheets, some including videos and sounds. You can drag and drop exercises, linking with arrows, and there are even exercises that the student has to complete speaking using the microphone.

You can use Liveworksheets to create your own interactive worksheets or you can use worksheets shared by other teachers. The website has a collection of thousands of interactive worksheets covering many languages and subjects.

How to create your own interactive worksheets?

It is really simple. Initially, you have to upload your document (doc, pdf, jpg...) which will be converted into an image. Then you just have to draw text boxes on the page and enter the correct answers.

There are also some commands that you will have to learn if you want to do other types of exercises, such as drag and drop, join with arrows, spoken exercises, etc. But it's very easy.

How can I receive feedback from my students?

There are two ways:

The simplest way: Students open the worksheet and complete the exercises. Then, they click on "Done", choose "Send my answers to the teacher" and enter your email (or your secret code). You will then receive a notification in your email.  You can always check all your students' answers in your mailbox.

The second option is the preferred option although it is more complicated. First, you will have to create your own interactive notebooks and add your favourite flashcards (your own or shared by other users). Then you have to register your students (they can also register themselves with your secret code) and assign them their notebooks.

After that, the students can access their notebooks with their username and password and do the exercises. The teacher can check their students' work at any time, assign homework and add comments or notes. Students can optionally register their email address to receive notifications of their assignments and the teacher's comments. Interactive notebooks have many customisation options, allow for teacher feedback and store all student responses for unlimited time. This is why, this is the recommended option, even though it initially requires more preparation.

In order to add your interactive worksheets to your website or blog, you have to insert your own flashcards and even those shared by other users (only if they have enabled this option). There is a special code for this by clicking on "Embed in my website or blog".
